Cover Girl Lash Blast 24 Hour Mascara

Haven't updated this blog in years but I found a mascara I hate SO much I couldn't resist. When I saw the commercial for a 24 hour mascara I knew I had to have it, so I bought it!!! First time wearing it, no first time putting it on I knew I hated it. Made my lashes drab no volume at all and the removal process was a nightmare!!! No it doesn't run or smudge it just is if you know what I mean. Please save your money and don't but this.

Maybelline Great Lash Blackest Black Mascara

I really, really wanted to like this mascara. I'd heard great things about it and I think we can all agree it's like a "classic". Ok, so the brush is awesome very compact it reached all my lashes even the tiny ones. Went on with zero clumping I didn't even need to use my lash comb. My lashes were long, full and beautiful yay!!! But then I ventured out to do some errands came home looked in the mirror and yikes. I had raccoon eyes. The mascara ran all over the place what a bummer because this definitely could have been my go to product. I think I'm probably in the minority when I say do not waste your money on this junk. But don't get me wrong I'd be all about this stuff if it were just waterproof!!!

Update: My Flickr is now up and running!!!

L'Oréal Double Extend Beauty Tubes

I am not a fan of mascara primer, period. I have really long dark lashes so I feel like I don't really need it. I'm always self-conscious that the white primer will be showing even after I've applied the mascara. With that said I've worn this mascara once, I didn't like it at all! I obviously don't like the primer but there  were other issues. I get what L'Oréal was going for but it just wasn't working for me. I saw no visible change in lash length with this maybe because I spent so much time combing out my lashes after application it just wasn't worth it. After a movie and dinner I came home with flakes under my eyes yuck! Another problem I have is the tube. The top and bottom have pointy ends so you can't stand it up vertically you have to lay it horizontally. For me that sucks for two reasons. The first being I cant display it with my other mascaras and the second is because the tube is always on its side, the mascara clumps/sticks to one side of the brush making for a messy and near impossible application. The only good thing I have to say is that the mascara slid right off of my lashes with warm water. I wouldn't suggest buying this product and for $10.95 there are much better products out there.

Blinc (formerly Kiss Me)

Recently my love for mascara has turned into a serious obsession. My bathroom is littered with 176 tubes of the stuff... I thought because mascara is something I really love why not share the love with others =D Besides theres nothing worse than buying a mascara you've been dying for only to find out it sucks. Each week I'll review a few tubes and letcha know what I think. Comments, questions and ideas are always welcome.

First up is one of my favorites Blinc a little pricy at $25.00 but totally worth every penny (Sephora, where I do most of my shopping has it for $24.00). The packaging is awesome I felt like a little kid on Christmas twisting the cap off the metal tube. I had a hard time throwing it away because it was so cool. Anyway, I have it in black and I can honestly say this is a one of a kind product everyone should own it. It goes on with out any clumping I find one coat on my top lashes works well for me. If I do use two coats I get spider lashes which are a pain to fix because of the formula. The brush is great it's an hourglass shape so it reaches all of my lashes even the tiny ones. I don't use a curler when wearing this, I was blessed with long curly lashes so yeah. I wear this product constantly even to work, school and to go out. After a long day spent with children there is no flaking, no dark circles under my eyes and no burning even when I rub my eyes. It's 100% waterproof which made me a little iffy because removal of waterproof mascara is not fun. However, Blinc slides right off of your lashes with the help of a little water. The only issue I've had has been when I took it off in the bathtub. There were little black lash things stuck all over the tub a pain to get off. Overall, this should be a staple in your makeup bag, I promise you'll love it!!!
